Comfy but not waterproof
Initially good only
Comfortable out of the box, but definitely not waterproof walking in wet grass, or rain and the soles of both boots are coming away after 8 months and only used to walk the dog

Comfortable but not water proof
Comfortable out the box, light for long walks. But ive had to return as first pair let water in. Second pair also let water in only walking in wet grass.
Good boots, but not great.
I have had these boots since February 2023 and have used then to cover only around 200 miles. They were very comfortable straight out of the box and I have not suffered any rubbing or blisters from them. They are great at keeping my feet warm and supported. The build quality is good and the materials are wearing well so far. The only let down is that they are not waterproof (despite the GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane lining). When walking in long wet grass or splashing through mud, water leaks in around the creases that form around the toe area.
Overall a good boot
I've owned these boots for a couple of years now and overall they have been great. Lightweight, supportive and waterproof. I will now always spend a little extra for a GORE-TEX products both footwear and clothing. The only reason not to give 5 stars is sizing - it's on the small size. I've found this true with all Merrell footwear. I would recommend trying on in-store or ordering a 1/2 or one full size larger than your normal fitting.
P.S. Boots/shoes that don't feel comfy out of the box never get any better (even though the shop assistants will tell you otherwise)!
Excellent out the box
Great boots, comfortable straight out the box. No bedding in. Soft like slippers on the inside with a rugged exterior. If these last, I will purchase another pair. Considering buying another pair in a different colour. They’re that good. You won’t be disappointed.

Ive had a number of Merrell Goretex boots and the recent ones within 2-3 years have always let me down with the waterproofing. These were no exception. Great and comfy out of the box but as soon as i walked through wet grass or it started raining i got wet feet. Eventually took them back for a refund .
