Excellent jacket, especially for back packing

Ive just received this jacket in XL. I need it for a thru hike (500 miles). I've always wanted a jack wolfskin jacket and this does not disappoint and was cheap. It looks better on me than it does on that model on the website! It seems a bit thin but is 700 loft and feels warm and is quite long (I'm 6ft2 and I like that it is longer than my old one).

It also packs up really small. I guess not having a hood also keeps the weight and pack size down.

I like it so much I might by another to keep for good, since Itll get quite worn backing.

Nice, but not one of Wolfskins best

First opening it does look ‘thin’, but puffs out a bit with some usage. It is NOT waterproof I’d say it’s borderline shower proof. It is warm and looks good, but in general not the best product Wolfskin have made.

Shocking quality

This is seriously poor quality for Jack Wolfskin, it’s nowhere near as puffy as the picture on the website.
After been washed once it is even thinner, and looks like a soaking wet black bag when it rains.
Absolutely shocking.
